Happy Valentine's

Happy Valentine's everyone. Just a quick note to show you what I got for Valentine's:
the latest "Tilda" book with a lot of beautiful sewing projects. I've already started on the angel in the lower right corner. They are so big! I didn't look at how big they would turn out, but when I started sewing I noticed it, lol. They get about 50cm! (20")
Let's see if I can finish her or if it's another candidate for my "almost finished" bag.

Have a great day!

The author of this book (and a whole bunch of others) is Tone Finnanger. I know of two internet shops that sell her books. I know there is at least one book that's in english. But if you just want the patterns and you know how to sew then you can get them in any of the languages (mostly norwegian and swedish, the author is from Norway) The first bookshop is:

Bokus. I'm not sure if they ship abroad, but I think so. Mail and ask.

The other one is:
adlibris, but they only ship to scandinavia.

Sketches and cards

Thought I'd show you three of my sketches and cards following the sketches. Well, I actually made the cards first and did the sketches later. Feel free to use them. If you do, please give me credit. I'd also be very happy to see what you've done.

New Whiff of joy release!

I have been thinking what my next stamppurchase will be. There are a couple of Magnolias I'm fond of, I saw some gorgeous new stamps from Sugarnellie and High hopes has some cute ones too. But when I saw this new release at Katharina's blog I totally freaked out! (in a good way, lol)
I have been so sad that I didn't order the previous stamps designed by illustrator Alison Acton. I love these Charlotte and Charlie characters, but was hesitant of the Christmas stamps because I like getting stamps you can use all year around (or at least for more occasions). And when I finally decided I wanted to get my favs they were gone :(

This new release will be on feb 14:th - what a wonderful Valentine's gift. The theme is medieval and what I have seen so far...I want them all. And I'm usually satisfied with one or two stamps from a line - then they look too similar, but with these. Sigh, I'm in love. Dragons and jesters and maidens and princesses...And so romantic with the release on Valentines. I want to be whisked away by a knight in shining armour, lol. Don't you just love this little guy?

Since there are so many stamps that I want (there are supposed to be 10 of them) I have decided to get them for myself as a birthdaygift. I don't want to regret again not getting them because I'm sure I will have a lot of use of them. The perfect thing would be to win at least some of them, lol. Katharina is actually letting one person win the whole set. Oh, I hope that will be me...

One world one heart event

Just a quick note to let you all know about this event. You can read all about it HERE. It is such a great idea and had I known about it sooner I would have joined. Maybe next year. There are still a few days before the giveaways close, so you still have a chance of going through the blogs and signing up for the giveaways. A warning though: there are 911 blogs that are having some kind of giveaway. I'm about half through, but let me tell you: it's worth looking through them. So many talented people out there! I've found several etsy shops and I think for Christmas my shoppingplace will be etsy.

Make sure to only join the giveaways you really really love. You want to make sure to apreciate the artist's work to the fullest.

HM Valentine challenge #23

I'm back with another HM card. I've been quite busy this weekend rearranging my corner. We got a new uncollapsable (hopefully) bookshelf. Unfortunately it wasn't as deep as my former one and not everything fits like I wanted it to. So I have been trying to figure out how everything should be. I'm hoping for a light at the end of the tunnel soon because I'd love to have it cleeeeaaaan.

I did find a small corner where I could make a slightly different Valentine card. It doesn't always have to be a person you love. Here is a celebration of the love for a cupcake, lol.

Let me know what you think, it's been sooo quiet here lately...
